Secondary schools - access to early help and advice

Schools can be a good starting point if parents or families are concerned about their child, or if a young person has something they’d like to talk about.

Most secondary schools and their partners would be able to offer you direct support, advice or information on where to get support if you have a concern such as:

  • Risky behaviours
  • Bereavement
  • Drugs, alcohol and smoking
  • Mental health and self harm
  • Bullying
  • Homophobia
  • Sexual exploitation and grooming
  • Diet and obesity
  • Building positive relationships
  • Special Educational Needs
  • Parenting support and advice

This list has been composed by secondary schools for you.  Please just ask for more information.
