Early Years, Education and Childcare

For more information regarding Gloucestershire Early Years, please click HERE

The Early Years is a crucial time of development for all children.  Choosing the right type of childcare, or early learning opportunities is an important decision for parents to make.   You will find useful information about the various childcare options, as well as details of funding which may be available, on the Childcare Section of the directory.

The Early Years, Education and Childcare providers that fall within the Local Offer section are classed as 'targeted' and 'specialist'.  This means that the services are available to children that meet specific criteria;

  • Targeted - young children from a stated target group
  • Specialist - only available to children who meet the criteria for the service

More detailed information about the services, and eligbility criteria can be found in the Local Offer description for each provider.

If you have any concerns about your child's development, talk to your health visitor, GP, Childminder, or other professional involved in your child's care.

To help us continually improve, please use the website feedback button (top of the page) to leave your comments.  Also, each individual service page has an area where you can leave a review.  We welcome your feedback.
