Our Small Grants Programme provides a personal and fast response to families living in crisis. By providing basic items such as a cooker, fridge or bed, our grants offer relief from a critical situation. We are proud to distribute grants through the BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme. 

We work with thousands of voluntary sector and local authority partners across the UK, enabling us to provide far-reaching support to children and young people aged 0-20. Applications are considered where a family/young person are experiencing some form of social difficulities alongside financial hardship. Consideration is made for issues such as illness, behavioural/ psychological problems, abuse, neglect, domestic violence, homelessness, parental drug and alcohol dependency, or severe poverty.

Our Chances for Children grants can now provide an enhanced package of support for children and young people dealing with a variety of issues ranging from, but not limited to; kinship care arrangements, domestic abuse, estrangement, physical and mental ill health, and substance abuse.
