Afasic supports parents with children and young people who have difficulties talking and understanding language. There is advice on the website for recognising concerns, claiming relevant benefits, sources of support in the community, support with speech at home, planning for life after 16 and support with SEN at school. Their helpline also provides a "listening ear" for parents who just want to talk to somebody who uderstands.
Training resources and information available for professionals wotking with children and young people, many of them free to download.
