Registration Instructions for Practitioners

The new responsive directory is now available and as a practitioner, you will notice that there is an area specifically aimed at holding Information for Practitioners.  In this area there will be many resources which you may find helpful when working with families, or if you are looking for training, updates, referral forms etc.  You can access the information by choosing the relevant categories from the home page, or by typing keywords straight into the search box.

A new featrure of the directory is that it can hold additional information linked to some records, which is only of interest to practitioners and not suitable for public viewing, such as referral forms or contact details.  In order to view this information, you will need to be a registered user on the website, and then request access.  Only users with a recognised work email address e.g. gloucestershire.gov.uk, gloucs.sch.uk, glos-care.nhs etc, will be given access to the protected data.

Records that hold additional information for practitioners will be identified with a blue band at the bottom of the page.  If you are not already registered, you will be prompted to do so within this section.  If you do not want to wait until you find a record with additional information for practitioners before you register/sign in, you may do so from the Home page by selecting Register/Sign in at the top of the screen.

If you are registering for the first time:

  • When you register you will need to be logged into the email address you are using, as you will be sent an activation link that is required to complete the registration process.
  • Follow the link under Practitioner Information to register, or go to the link at the top of any page on the website.
  • Complete the registration page and wait for the email containing the activation link you'll need to continue.
  • When you receive the email, click on the link within it to verify your account.  This link is only valid for a short time!
  • Sign in.  Your log in details should be kept strictly confidential and not be shared with anyone else.
  • Once the dashboard opens, select Practitioners, then click on the link to request access to protected data.
  • The FIS team will authorise requests within 1 working day.
  • Whenever you visit the site and sign in, any additional practitioner information will be automatically displayed as you browse.

If you are already registered:

  • Click sign in at the top of the page and enter your details.  Your log in details should be kept strictly confidential and not be shared with anyone else.
  • In the top corner of the screen, click on My Account and choose Dashboard.
  • Once the dashboard opens, select Practitioners, then click on the link to request access to protected data.
  • The FIS team will authorise requests within 1 working day.
  • Whenever you visit the site and sign in, any additional practitioner information will be automatically displayed as you browse.

Adding an entry:

If you feel that there are additional resources or records which would be useful to colleagues or families, please feel free to either add an entry yourself, or contact the Family Information Service via email familyinfo@gloucestershire.gov.uk.

We welcome feedback on our directory, and hope that you will find it a great resource to use in the future.
