Gloucestershire Local Provider Agreement is now available for completion by Childcare Providers

The Local Provider Agreemeent for Early Years Funded Free entitlement for 2, 3 & 4 year olds to include universal and extended entitlements, is now available and should be signed by all providers wishing to claim the funding.  The document can be found by clicking here

What do I need to do?

Please print off the Declaration page only, sign and return it either by scanning and returning via e-mail to familyinfo@gloucestershire.gov.uk or posting to Family Information Service, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG, by Monday 3rd July 2017. If a signed Declaration is not received, this could jeopardise your provision’s receipt of the funding from 1st September 2017. In order to avoid GCC having to take this action, please ensure that you return your signed Declaration as soon as possible.

How can parents find out about my provision?

Glos Families Directory (managed by the Family Information Service) enables families to find out about your provision and the services you offer. It is important that you keep your provider information with FIS up to date. Please check your entry on this Directory by searching for your provision.

How do I update my information on the Glos Families Directory?

To make any amendments to your provider entry, sign in using your e-mail address and password which should have been sent to you. If you are having problems signing in or need further information, contact Family Information Service on 01452 427362 or by email at familyinfo@gloucestershire.gov.uk .

FREE Telephone Surgeries for the 30 hours offer

We are fast approaching the 1st September 2017 and the start of the 30 hours offer. In preparation for this we’re pleased to offer free opportunity for you to have a 15 or 30 minute slot with Deborah Robinson from NDNA (National Day Nurseries Association), to discuss any issues you have regarding provision of the 2, 3 and 4 year old entitlements.

Deborah will be available between the hours of 9am and 5pm on the following dates:

Monday 12th and Friday 30th June
Monday 10th and Friday 28th July
Tuesday 8th and Tuesday 29th August
Friday 1st and Friday 29th September

To book a time slot, please e-mail Deborah with your preferred date and your question/query. She will allocate either 15 or 30 minutes and advise you at which time she will be available deborah.robinson@ndna.org.uk

Following these sessions, Deborah will put together an anonymised ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ (FAQs) sheet. This will be published on this directory for all providers to access and will be updated after each of the dates. Keep looking at the website for further updated information.

Partnership Approaches to 30 Hours Childcare

If you’re considering working in partnership to deliver 30 hours childcare there is a new toolkit to support partnership approaches. The Family and Childcare Trust toolkit, developed following the 30 Hours Mixed Model Partnership project, commissioned by the Department for Education (DfE) is designed to support mixed model partnership approaches to delivering the extended free entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds. This interactive toolkit will help you set up or join a partnership, maximise the benefits of working together and tackle the challenges joint working can bring. It contains practical advice, guidance and case studies.
