Cirencester Primary School Nursery is an Early Years facility run by Cirencester Primary School on the school’s site. The setting caters for children aged two to five years old and is led by a highly qualified and experienced nursery team which includes two qualified Early Years Teachers. There is a clear focus on learning through play using the Key Person Approach. The role of the Key Person is to get to know their Key Child on an individual basis and to nurture their sense of identity and individuality. It is also their responsibility to provide a wide range of play-based opportunities and activities to promote children’s unique learning and development. Cirencester Primary School Nursery places a strong emphasis on social interaction independence and enthusiasm to learn. Practitioners carry out regular observations and assessments of children’s progress to inform future planning and provision which are also shared with parents in line with requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS). The setting can also offer wrap-around care for nursery children from 8.00am to 4.30pm at their before and after school club.
