Charity of John Ward and Others
Gloucester City Residents only
John Ward is a charity administered by Gloucester Charities Trust who have discretion to award grants from the main John Ward Charity and from the John Ward Educational Foundation (this may include limited childcare funding)
It is worth noting that as a small Charity it has limited resourses. The Charity allocates small grants, usually for one-off items for those in need.
There are no set criteria for applications to the grant as decisions are at the Trustees' discretion and are made in private. For guidance, previous grants have been for items such as white goods, furniture and carpets and for educational purposes through the John Ward Educational Foundation.
The Charity can receive applications for anyone who lives within the City of Gloucester boundaries but applications are only accepted for individuals and not organisations or bodies.
Please note - Applications must be made by a professional such as a social/care worker on the official form with a supporting email or letter and submitted to the Clerk to the Trustees either by post or email. Self referrals are not accepted. Any monies granted will be paid either to the referrer or directly to provider of goods.
