Sometimes we need a bit of help when life throws challenges our way.

Many things affect our health and wellbeing, such as where we live, how we spend our time, our financial situation and our relationships with friends and family.

There are people in the community who may be able to offer support and guidance during these times. These people are called Community Wellbeing Agents and are part of a countywide service that is open to anyone over the age of 16 years.

Home Group is one of a number of Community Wellbeing Service providers in Gloucestershire. We offer the service in the Gloucester area (including Churchdown and Brockworth).

The Community Wellbeing Agent will offer a face-to-face, person-centred service. Our role is to listen to you, find out where your interests lie, what your strengths are and what would help you to meet the challenges you face. This may lead to some one-to-one support, connection with others in your community or an introduction to a group or organisation. Community Wellbeing Agents have extensive knowledge about groups and activities that are locally available.

What we offer

The Community Wellbeing Service is free and confidential for people aged 16 and above. Our aim is to connect you to local services, organisations and groups that can help improve your general wellbeing and meet your wider social needs. We can cover areas such as:

  • Mental health and wellbeing

  • Long-term health conditions

  • General health and fitness

  • Social isolation

  • Housing and environment

  • Debt and finance

We can help you find activities in your local area, help you meet more people in your community or simply provide you with information to help you make an informed choice.
