Child Behaviour and Family Solutions Ltd
- Local Offer
At Child Behaviour Solutions, we aim to provide a specialist and flexible intervention for families. We work with any family where a child is displaying challenging behaviour for whatever reason. In particular, we do a lot of work with families where a child has some additional needs such as anxiety or autism.
Our aim is to strengthen relationships between children and their parents by working with the parents to provide them with a fuller understanding of their child's needs.
We provide programmes that are created to the needs of the individual or group of individuals, we are not a one size fits all method. We guarantee that you will never meet any judgement or feel any blame when you work with us; you will find a professional listening to your situation and offering advice and solutions to help you regain your confidence, strength and passion for being a parent. And thanks to the magic of the internet, you don’t have to live in Gloucestershire to access our services!
We provide a variety of different options for parents, children and professionals.
We offer 4 hour workshops (depending on need) for professionals working with children who are either on the autistic spectrum or are showing traits of being on the autistic spectrum. The workshops are interactive and will give you some understanding of the challenges you may see in your childcare setting.
For parents, we offer a bespoke 1 to 1 training package - working with the parent to help them understand the world their child lives in. In doing this, we are able to improve familial relationships and parents report a change in behaviour of the child. The sessions are offered as a package of either 4, 6 or 10 sessions, depending on the need of the family. This work is usually carried out at 2&6 Therapy Rooms in Gloucester but can be carried out in the home if this is needed to meet the family's needs.
We also offer 2 bespoke parenting trainings for parents; one of these concentrates on parenting a child with anxiety and the other considers breaking down the barriers of parenting, including sessions where we look at our own childhood. These programmes are not prescriptive as many parenting programmes are - and therefore we can move with the needs of the families attending.
