The Wizard of Gloz

Written by Gerry Jones, SouthAm Dram’s resident scriptwriter, this amusing panto takes inspiration from the iconic film Wizard of Oz, which celebrated its 80th birthday in 2019, and follows the storyline of the original (sort of!!)

The action starts in 1966 before a combination of bad weather and bad driving takes us all to the land of Gloz. Follow the cast’s efforts to get back home, overcoming all the normal pantomime villains along the way.

Expect the usual panto shenanigans and no doubt a fair bit of adlibbing from the forgetful cast!

THIS YEAR WE’VE INTRODUCED A FANCY DRESS COMPETITION AS PART OF THE SHOW!....  So whether you are a child or just a big kid turn up in your best 60’s clobber for a chance to win a prize!

We’ve had to move from our normal premises of Southam Village Hall – not least because the popularity of last year’s show and anticipated sales for this one has meant we need a bigger audience space!

We are now performing at Prestbury Village Hall which isn’t too far away from Southam…Regulars to the panto will be delighted there is also a bigger bar!

We look forward to welcoming you to the Land of Gloz….but please remember that no ticket = no entrance..so remember to print your ticket order!
