Alison Johns

My name is Alison and I offer a homely environment for children from 3 months to 12 years old. Our cosy house has a safe enclosed garden which backs on to farmland so the children are able to enjoy lots of fresh air and outdoor play. Our home is a short walk to the local playgroup and newly refurbished play park and a couple of minutes further to Winchcombe Abbey Church of England Primary School.I have a happy and positive approach and I am told that my biggest strengths are my endless patience and enthusiasm. The children are looked after in a happy family atmosphere in which they are involved in activities such as cooking shopping and gardening. I have a huge selection of toys games and books for children of all ages and enjoy helping the children use a range of materials to develop their fine motor skills and creativity. I incorporate story time into each day and encourage the children to choose their favourite books for us to share. The children I care for are encouraged to be part of the local community through visits to toddler groups the library and organised events such as Gloucestershire Play Rangers days at the local recreation ground. I take the children for rambles and picnics to local attractions such as Sudeley Castle.
