Allsorts @ ACE Club (Inclusive Sports Club)

Inclusive multi sports club run by Stroud District Council for children aged 5-18 with disabilities or additional needs, plus non-disabled siblings. Max & Nikki meet Allsorts members in the Cafe at 4pm with youth club support workers and our youth buddy volunteers. The sports club itself is from 4.30-5.30pm.

Who does your service provider for?

Allsorts supports families of children & young people from birth through to 24 years who have any disability or additional need, diagnosis is not necessary, who live in Gloucestershire.  Families must be Allsorts members to access any of the activities.  Families can become members of Allsorts for £5 per annum.  AllSports activities are charged at various rates.

Allsorts offer a range of services for the whole family, with an emphasis on supporting each other and meeting members' needs.  These include:

  • 2 Youth Clubs for children with disabilities & additional needs (one for 8+ and one for 11-18 years)
  • outings and workshops for children with disabilities & additional needs
  • a new monthly group for children 6-8 years as preparation for youth club
  • a group for non-disabled siblings
  • parent/carer groups and activities
  • an early years family group
  • a year round programme of trips and events for the whole family
  • a specialist toy and equipment library
  • communication and music therapy workshops
  • specialist training for staff and parents/carers
  • AllSports inclusive sports activities
  • information and signposting

All the staff are experienced and trained as required to accommodate the needs of the young people.  All staff have safeguarding training and are DBS & reference checked.  There is always a first aider present at activities.  Our Children & Young People's Co-ordinator is a Designated Safeguarding Trainer.
