Stroud District Furniture Bank
The aim of the Stroud District Furniture Bank is to provide a service for those families and individuals in the District who otherwise cannot afford quality furniture. Working in conjunction with the Foodbank and Kids’ Stuff, the Furniture Bank will provide the most needy families in the district with furniture delivered to their door. These families are sent to us from the existing referrer network so we know that they are in need of support.
1. We price our furniture at the lowest price possible to enable it to be accessible to all who are in crisis.
2. We will deliver direct to the client’s door, as often the most vulnerable do not have access to transport which would enable them to purchase furniture from the high street.
3. We are here to provide an alternative to Bright House and other catalogue companies who target people with limited funds in need of furniture.
Other services include house clearance, furniture collection, apprenticeships and flexible employment opportunities to support unemployed people.
