Treecreepers Forest School

Treecreepers run Forest School and woodland courses for young people in small groups to cater for individual needs, learning styles, discoveries and interests.

Forest School is a form of outdoor education focused on fun, engaging activities in a woodland setting that aim to build self-esteem, promote team work, increase emotional intelligence, develop motor skills, encourage participation and involve plenty of opportunity for learning through play. We give young people time and space to become familiar and comfortable in a natural environment and to learn to take responsibility for themselves and their peers.

Over time the young people make decisions about their own learning and direct us as to what they are interested in - we know that individuals are at their best when they lose track of time and are fully involved in what they are doing.

Treecreepers run courses of at least 6 sessions with groups of up to 6 young people based in local woodlands. Forest School sessions are run by fully qualified and insured forest school leaders who are CRB checked and first aid trained. We work with mainstream school groups, charities, private groups and CAF funded individuals and are able to cater for young people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Treecreepers also run sessions for families to promote communication, have fun together and to give supported space to enjoy time in a totally different environment. A family that can play together can have more shared experiences to help bond them together when times are tougher.

We operate from local woodlands near Cheltenham or we can come to you if you have a suitable area to work from or want to start your own Forest School. For more information please see our website Treecreepers
