YoungMinds is a UK charity committed to improving the emotional well being and mental health of children and young people by ensuring these issues are placed firmly on the public and political agenda. They achieve this through the provision of research, lobbying, influencing policy and campaigning. Driven by the experiences of children, young people, parents and carers they also raise awareness and provide expert knowledge through training, outreach work and publications covering issues such as depression, bullying and self harm. The YoungMinds telephone helpline (0808-802-5544 - open Monday to Friday 9:30 to 4:00pm) for parents and carers provides free and confidential support for anyone worried about the emotional problems or behaviour of a child or young person. YoungMinds also publishes a bi-monthly magazine for everyone who works with children and young people.
