Achieving Two Year Old Funding - Information for Practitioners

If a 2 year old has a family who would meet the free school meals criteria or their family receives Working Tax Credit and has a gross household income of £16,190 or below, they will be entitled to Achieving Two Year Old funding.  If you are considering referring a family who meet these criteria, you do not need to complete a referral form.  Applications can be made online at the Citizen Portal link.

If a child is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA), has an Education Health and Care Plan, is adopted or under a Special Guardianship Order, they have a statutory claim to the funding and are therefore automatically entitled.  You do not need to complete a referral for these children, but we will need to see supporting evidence, e.g. copy of adoption order or letter awarding DLA.  These criteria apply directly to the 2 year old, and not to their siblings.

If you need to make a referral, please sign in to view additional information and access the referral form within the practitioner section of this record.
