Forest Riding for the Disabled
- Local Offer
The Forest Branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association offers riding for children and adults with physical and / or learning disabilities, either individually or as a Group from Schools, Clubs etc.
Riding horses and ponies stimulates muscles, balance, co-ordination, self-confidence and general well-being. Games, tests and races are organised, giving mobility and a sense of speed and excitement to people who cannot walk or run.
Sessions are only available on Thursday afternoons during term time. Our largest horse can take an individual up to 12 stone in weight.
New volunteers are welcomed.
