Yorkley Primary School
I have had the pleasure of leading Yorkley School since April 2012 and know that together, as a team, we all work hard to make the school a welcoming, secure and exciting place not only for our pupils but their families and the wider community too.
Our motto is “Valuing learning, learning to Value”. Our values are Partnership, Perseverance, Patience, Practice and Pride. These link together to give children the “Power” to achieve and develop into responsible citizens.
Standards at Yorkley meet and exceed the national averages and children are leaving well prepared for secondary school. Our latest Inspection November 2016 graded us as ‘Good’:
"The head teacher has been unwavering in her determination to secure an excellent standard of education for pupils in the school". "Pupils say that teachers 'make learning fun' and the school has a calm and harmonious atmosphere where they can mix happily". Parents also described the schools as “simply superb.”
There is a well-run breakfast club which contributes to wellbeing and helps promote a healthy lifestyle.
Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you make for them early on in their life. It is important that you get this right and I would encourage you to come, get a feel for our school and relax in the knowledge when your child joins Yorkley, they will be happy and flourish.
