Liquid Logic’s new portal for practitioners referring concerns about a child

From 20th June, Practitioners making referrals to the Children’s Helpdesk should use Liquid Logic’s new portal to complete the MARF (Multi Agency Service Request Form).

The current process for referring children to Gloucestershire County Council’s Children’s Helpdesk involves completion of a MARF using a word document, this has proved inefficient and duplicates work by partner agencies.

Over the next four months we will be introducing a new portal to our Liquid Logic system which will enable Practitioners to complete the MARF online, sending information directly to our front door team.

The benefits of this new portal include:

  • less duplication and a quicker decision making process;
  • increased availability as the MARF will be available 24/7 via laptop, pc, tablet or smartphone;
  • reduced errors as information will be sent directly to the Children’s Helpdesk; and
  • security – end to end encryption through the portal and an audit trail of all referrals

There is no need for any training to use the new portal.

From 20th June the portal will become available via the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership (GSCP) website (https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/gscp/).

When a child is at immediate risk of significant harm, please continue to contact the Children's Helpdesk on 01452 426565.

From October 2017, word-formatted MARF’s will no longer be accepted.
