Welcome to Sir William Romney’s School

I am delighted to welcome you to the Sir William Romney’s School and our website. It is my privilege to be the new Headteacher of this wonderful school which serves Tetbury and surrounding areas and is a proud member of the Athelstan Trust.

At Sir William Romney’s School our purpose of “Striving for Excellence Together” drives us and our values of aspiration, collaboration and resilience define us. 

We are ambitious for every member of our school community to achieve more than they ever thought possible.  Everyone is encouraged to strive towards aspiration goals, daring to dream whilst developing the resilience needed to keep on going when setbacks to this journey inevitably occur.  We champion each other to have the courage to take risks and embrace opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom so we can grow our character.

Our school is a happy and purposeful culture striving for every person to feel a sense of belonging because they feel safe, are proud to be a member of the school and are valued for the contribution they make towards its success.  We value the importance of all our stakeholders including students, staff, parents/carers, Governors and the local community because working together leads to greater success, innovation and satisfaction.
