Churchdown Skatepark
Churchdown skatepark was designed and built by Maverick Industries and can be found in Churchdown Park. It is an all concrete course that is comprised of both a large transition and street section, and was opened in 2012.
The street course starts at one corner with a quarter pipe set at two heights that opens up onto a wave kicker along side a kicker gap lined with a hand rail and a manny pad. The end of these is a flat bank that leads down to a section with a tombstone and a pyramid surrounded with a bowled edge.
The bowl here is large and has a lot of nice features and corners. At one end is a speed bowl that opens into the larger section of the bowl that is deeper and more open which then transitions into a cradle and on to an even deeper old school pool bowl with real pool coping.
Churchdown skatepark is a great park with smooth and grippy surfaces and a very creative layout, the street section has some great and unusual obstacles and the bowl section has loads of transitions and corners meaning you can pump around it all day without havign to push. This is a park for all types of rider of all abilities.
