Gloucestershire Community-based Support CCP

Our Community-based Support Service covers Gloucester, Tewkesbury and Forest of Dean districts. The team deliver short term support for individuals to help them develop the skills to become self-reliant and resilient, and live independently in the long term such as:

  • Support to prevent the incidence of tenancy breakdown or individuals losing their homes.
  • Support to find and secure appropriate accommodation, set up and maintain it
  • Support to maximise their income, improve budgeting and money management skills, and reduce debt
  • Support with finding activities, building social networks and avoiding isolation. This includes rebuilding family relationships and developing links with other people, neighbourhoods and community networks.
  • Support to take up education, training, employment or volunteering opportunities
  • Support with health and wellbeing, enabling the individual to access health and social care services, including GPs, mental health and drug and alcohol services.
